Today, thanks to countless hours of painstaking restoration work, many of these magnificent works still exist, bestowing their eminent beauty on tourists and worshipers like who come to gaze upon them and watch the sunlight filter through the brilliant colored glass. Below, we’ve listed some of the most beautiful examples of stained glass throughout Europe.

This beautiful stained glass style often features symmetric squares or rectangles with the infamous Glasgow rose. Mackintosh style stained glass is also well known for its ability to move effortlessly from very geometric Mission style designs to free flowing Art Nouveau designs, often times combining the two.
