Our Recent Work at The Fort Collins Colorado LDS Temple

Our most recent religious stained glass project involved working with the LDS community in Fort Collins, Colorado to manufacture all of the stained glass for their new temple’s windows and doors. This project took approximately two years to complete and is now a standing example of our finest work from Scottish Stained Glass.

Creating Flawless Religious Stained Glass Art

This most recent project was unlike any we had previously completed before due to a few reasons. The first was the size of the task. We ultimately ended up manufacturing and installing over 50,000 pieces of individual glass for the Temple, including 300 complete stained glass pieces. Another reason was that every aspect of this job had to be customized to ensure that the stained glass was absolutely flawless and perfect for its noble placement.

Throughout the two years time, we were able to achieve results that we had never before accomplished. This included building our windows to fit custom frames for which the construction hadn’t been yet completed. Due to this nature of things, our ability to take site measurements for the windows was limited. By working closely with the construction company and other general contractors through a highly efficient, streamlined process, we were able to make their completion possible.

We also created a new customized color of stained glass to match the exact design desired by the Church. This situation came about because even after looking through 10,000 different colors of glass, not one of them matched the exact look that the Church was seeking. As a solution, we created a new color of green glass to fit their design model. We also created colored glass bevels for the windows and doors, a task which had been previously considered impossible to accomplish.

In addition to this, we also used special techniques to construct the glass windows for the ultimate level of privacy. This way, the windows could not been seen into from the outside, but still allowed plenty of natural sunlight to enter the building. We also fit each of these custom designed windows with Low-E safety glass to ensure for energy efficiency and security.

Stained Glass Both Remarkable and Flawless in Design

After all of the stained glass had been completely installed, it was time for inspection. Architects, designers, and members of the church thoroughly inspected each piece of stained glass within the church for any signs of defect. Even after several rounds of these inspections, not a single flaw was identified in our glass. We couldn’t have been more proud.The hard work and dedication shown by our staff was all worth it in the end. Their efforts truly paid off and were witnessable in the final results.

Working with the LDS Church to construct the stained glass for their new temple was an incredibly rewarding experience. We built some great professional relationships along the way and in the end were able to produce some of the most stunning religious stained glass artwork that can be seen in the Fort Collins area.
